Carcoon Storage Systems for Classic Cars

The Carcoon system provides a micro environment for your vehicle, protecting it from dust, scratches and, by constantly circulating air through the vehicle structure, prevent rapid temperature changes which would cause condensation to form within the vehicle structure. The constant circulation of air throughout the vehicle also has the effect of removing any moisture which may already be present in the vehicle. Indeed many people use their Carcoon to dry out their vehicle should they happen to get their vehicle wet or damp during driving.

The Carcoon requires a 240 volts electric socket, the unit is supplied with a power and charge” transformer, which not only powers the Carcoon fans, but also acts as a battery conditioner keeping your vehicle’s battery fully charged. Alternatively, it can be powered from the car’s own battery but this method drains the car battery in approximately 5 days.

The method of use is basically the same for all units. The simple three stage erection of a Carcoon is shown below, using the Evo unit for demonstration


  • Step 1:
    Carefully drive your car centrally onto the base unit. Do not turn the steering wheel whilst on the base unit as this may stretch or tear the material

  • Step 2:
    Lay the cover over your car and carefully unfold the cover until it is completely extended.

  • Step 3:
    Zip the top cover to the base unit, plug in the transformer and the Carcoon will inflate around your car.


This is based on the original Carcoon system and still the best selling of the three variants. Available with clear sides and red, yellow or blue roof and floor panels, or fully opaque in solid red, to prevent prying eyes. Suitable for indoor use only.

Carcoon - Veloce

The Veloce is a development of the Evo unit, incorporating an internal frame to make is easier to put your car into and take your car out of the Carcoon. One end panel and both side panels can be opened to gain access to your car during storage. The units are available in red, yellow, blue, silver or black coloured panels which have transparent windows. Suitable for indoor use only.

Carcoon – Outdoor unit

The Outdoor Carcoon is effectively ‘a bubble within a bubble’ and uses a base mat and top cover similar to the EVO model, however this model is designed to help protect the vehicle in the sometimes hostile outdoor environment.
The outdoor Carcoon uses two layers of a special alloy coated material with an insulating air gap between each skin, this configuration along with a thick insulated base mat and special materials provides unrivalled protection from the cold and damp just as effectively as it protects from high levels of Ultra Violet and Infra Red light in some of the more extreme climates.
Available in silver colour only due to UV resistant materials being used.
